If you don't have your health, what do you have? As the old Indian proverb goes: "a healthy person has a thousand wishes, the sick person only one".
Let's make health a priority!
In this section we want to inspire you to a lifestyle where health is a priority, because how can you live life on your terms if you don't have a happy and healthy body to live in? This means more than just food and exercise. We also want a healthy mind, great sleep and a life free from inflammation and disease. Think of your body as your house. You have to take care of it in as many ways as possible for it to last as long as possible. That is health to us!
Unfortunately we had to learn this lesson the hard way, when Jakob was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. According to the doctors this was both rare and incurable and he was put on constant medication for the rest of his life. Not a great feeling, we can tell you that... So that's when we decided to make health our number one priority! We refused to believe that there was no other way to get his health back and that a life full of medication would be the only solution.
Thankfully, medication was not the only way. It for sure has taken a while, but with changes to our lifestyle, our diet and our minds, Jakob is now free from the autoimmune disease and the medication he was supposed to take forever. He is now feeling healthier and more energized than in a very long time. Therefore we want to share with you this recipe for health and preventing disease! There are so many easy things you can do that will have a huge impact on your well-being.
Feeling great makes everything else in life so much easier!
Food is medicine
We truly believe this old saying of Hippocrates is so true, that food is the medicine and medicine is the food. Through our diet and lifestyle we can either make the choice of creating health or we can provide a house where disease can live and feed. Well, the choice seems pretty easy to us!
With this section we want to inspire you to everyday take those small steps towards health. We want to help you create routines for diet and exercise which will lead you on the path which is full of life and energy. Let's all do our best not to let disease through the door!
